Savannah Chrisley opened up about her mental health issues; swallowed a bottle of pain pills

Savannah Chrisley is sharing her story of the painful time she consumed a whole bottle of painkillers and how she managed to stay sober.

She discussed how being in the spotlight and not knowing how to handle it had an impact on some of her mental health issues, such as despair.

During an appearance on Doug Bopst's Adversity Advantage Podcast, Savannah Chrisley, a 26-year-old alum of Chrisley Knows Best, talked about how her lack of self-awareness and public persona led to mental health problems, such as depression.

“There are things that led to me reaching an all-time low that I finally got to a point where I was like alright, I can’t do this anymore. That was one time at 15 and then again at 18 and then at 22 I finally started going to therapy,” she shared.

“It wasn’t until I was 22 years old that I was like alright, I need to go to therapy. I can’t do this by myself.”

Chrisley described how she tried suicide at the age of 15, taking an entire bottle of painkillers, but she insisted that even though she used drugs frequently, she had never had an addiction problem.
