Rosemarie DeWitt, who starred in Rachel Getting Married, has been cast in The Boys season 4 as Hughie Campbell’s estranged mother.

Jack Quaid plays Hughie Campbell. The series, which has been airing on Prime Video since 2019, is based on the Wildstorm and Dynamite characters of the same name.

These vigilante civilians are determined to overthrow the dishonest team of superheroes known as The Seven.

Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), a member of the organisation, joined after the protagonist A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) killed his lover.

The fact that Hughie’s mother abandoned him as a young child wasn’t made known until season 2 of the show.

The upcoming season has finally cast Hughie Campbell’s mother, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Rosemarie DeWitt will now play Hughie’s mother, according to a statement that also confirmed Rob Benedict from Supernatural and Elliot Knight from Animal Kingdom as new cast members.

While the new season’s filming is still going on in Toronto, all three performers have joined the cast.

DeWitt is a well-known actress who has had a diverse career in both film and television.

Hughie’s perspective on the world and his status in The Boys may be shaken by what she has to say as the show has so little information about her character to date.
