The CW show Riverdale’s seventh and last season goes into production.

A writer and co-executive producer for the show named Ted Sullivan shared the information on Instagram.

The slate takes up the most of the frame in the post, which features the first photo of the year.

Sullivan mentioned that such a terrific season will soon be available to viewers in his caption.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show’s creator, was also recognised for helping Riverdale get to where it is now.

Viewers were left with quite a cliffhanger after Season 6. The gang ultimately defeated Percival Pickens (Chris O’Shea), their longtime enemy, in the season’s final two episodes by sending him back to his proper era.

They were unfortunate because Percival still managed to strike as he redirected a comet to strike Riverdale. Due to her enhanced abilities, Cheryl  was able to stop the comet, but it also transported the entire town back to the 1950s.

Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is the only person with any knowledge of what truly occurred despite the town-wide amnesia it caused.

The forthcoming season’s plot is currently mainly unknown, but more clues are probably coming as the season debut approaches.

The time jump will undoubtedly play a significant role in the season, that much is certain.
