Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis star in Tubi's production of "The Thicket," a dark Western thriller based on Joe R. Lansdale's novel of the same name

Dinklage is producing and starring in the film, which has been a passion project for him for many years 

Filming has already begun in Calgary, Canada, and the stars are aligning perfectly for Dinklage as his dream project comes to life 

"The Thicket" follows the journey of a young man named Jack who sets out to rescue his sister Lula from a notorious killer named Cut Throat Bill and his gang 

To save his sister, Jack enlists the help of a resourceful bounty hunter named Reginald Jones, a son of an ex-slave who drinks heavily and works as a grave digger, and a savvy prostitute 

The group tracks Cut Throat Bill into a dangerous area called The Big Thicket, where violence and anarchy prevail 

Dinklage has expressed his enthusiasm for bringing Joe Lansdale's gripping story to the big screen, calling it a "journey into the heart of darkness 

"The Thicket," which promises to exceed genre expectations and provide a captivating journey into The Thicket 

The movie will be directed by Elliot Lester, with Christopher Kelly writing the screenplay. 

The talented cast also includes Esme Creed-Miles, Levon Hawke, Leslie Grace, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Macon Blair, Ned Dennehy, Andrew Schulz, Arliss Howard, and James Hetfield from Metallica
