Season 3 of Outer Banks has received an official synopsis, first-look images, and a release date from Netflix.

The series follows the Pogues, a group of young adults who band together in search of a $400 million treasure.

The Pogues inadvertently uncover a web of secrets and become targets for some dangerous and powerful people.

At the end of Season 2, it appears that the Pogues have gotten ahead of their adversaries and discovered a paradise where they can finally relax.

However, according to the Season 3 synopsis, the previous seasons’ adventures pale in comparison to what the Pogues will face next.

The Pogues are one step closer to figuring out what’s going on with their families and the treasure they seek now that we know John B’s and Sarah’s fathers are alive.

This will send the Pogues on an even bigger treasure hunt, while a Caribbean Don will use all the might of the mafia to eliminate anyone who stands in his way of his prize.

“The stakes are rising,” say Outer Banks creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke.

The Pogues realise that their adventures in the first two seasons were just a warm-up for the mother of all treasure hunts.”

The creators also explain how life imitates art in Outer Banks, as the cast has formed unbreakable bonds similar to the characters they play.
