It's been around eight months since we last saw John B. and his merry band of fortune-hunting companions.

The second season of Netflix's Outer Banks premiered this summer, but we didn't have to wait long before the actors announced that Season 3 has been re-energized.

Although there isn't much information available regarding this new piece OBX, TV Guide will share any developments we can find in the hopes that our beloved Pogues will return.

A gathering of high schooler "Pogues" — those from the functional individuals and, as John B. describes, "minimum person from the laid up dominance structure" — became the buzzy young person phenomenon.

John B. and his friends go on a journey to discover the truth about his father's disappearance, but they must contend with "Kooks" — the town's wealthy elite — in what begins as an interesting adventure but quickly turns deadly.

The first season of Outer Banks premiered on April 20, 2020, and the second season premiered on July 30, 2021.

Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Austin North, Drew Starkey, and Charles Esten will all return for Season 3 of Outer Banks.

Carlacia Grant has been elevated to series regular for her role as Cleo, the newest member of the central Pogues group.

Season 3 has yet to get an official release date. Because filming has just began, we expect the new season to premiere in late 2022 or early 2023.

The commencement of Season 3 is announced in a photo uploaded on Outer Banks' official account on February 28.
