The highly debated buddy comedy picture Foreign Relations has been acquired by Amazon Studios.

Glen Powell and Nick Jonas are expected to appear in the comedy, which will be directed by Kat Coiro.

Although the movie’s narrative has not been disclosed, Deadline says that a number of studios and streamers competed for the project.

Following the movie’s sale to Amazon, plot specifics are rigorously kept under wraps, but the project is also expected to bring Jumanji star Jonas.

Coiro’s name is now associated with an increasing number of projects, including Foreign Relations.

Charlie Kesslering wrote the script, and Alison Small of Brownstone Productions, along with Jonas and Powell, will be in charge of producing it.

Even Coiro wasn’t always a popular filmmaker.

I remember going to a screening of some indie film I’d done, and I really didn’t like it and I had no control over it.

The Husband’s Secret, a Sony adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s best-selling book, and the first two episodes of The Spiderwick Chronicles for Disney+ are just a few of Coiro’s upcoming projects.

He will also serve as executive producer and director for Marvel Studios’ upcoming television series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, which will premiere in August.
