After gamers speculated that a Dragon Age series was in the works, Netflix has confirmed Dragon Age: Absolution, an animated series based on the iconic Bioware video game brand, will premiere in December.

The trailer above also gives us our first glimpse at the series. The series was unveiled by Netflix and Bioware on Friday during the streamer’s Geeked Week event.

Dragon Age: Absolution, developed in conjunction with BioWare, is set in Tevinter and offers an ensemble of new characters inspired by Dragon Age lore.

The series, produced by Red Dog Culture House, will be directed by Mairghread Scott.
