Netflix comes up with delightful news for the (2005–2008) Avatar fans as the streamer platform is bringing Nickelodeon’s animated hit Avatar: The Last Airbender. 

It was already announced way back in 2018 but now Netflix has finally shared updates regarding the live-action adaptation.  

For the unversed, the Aang is the main “Avatar” who is the connection between the human and spirit world, and the only one qualified of bending all four of the elements.

One of the show creator Michael Dante DiMartino noted that Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar has the potential to be profitable.  

It might turn out to be a show many of you end up appreciating. Also, Albert Kim demonstrates that the series is a possibility to showcase Asian and Indigenous personalities as living, breathing people. 

Not just in a comic, but in a world that truly exists, very comparable to the one we live in. 

Takei (“Star Trek,” “Resident Alien”) enters the Spirit World voicing Koh, an ancient, hunting spirit.  

Randall Duk Kim (“John Wick,” “Kung Fu Panda”) will voice Wan Shi Tong, who seems in the form of a giant owl and is also comprehended as the Spirit of Knowledge. 

The Earth Kingdom contains the ruler Bumi, Amber Midthunder (Prey) as the Northern Water Tribe’s Princess Yue, and Danny Pudi (Mythic Quest) as the Mechanist.
