The most recent Korean television series to gain international acclaim is Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area, which made its Netflix debut on June 24, 2022.

Earlier, Squid Game overtook the Crown as the most watched show on Netflix ever.

Money Heist Korea has already risen to the top of Netflix’s list of the top 10 global hits for languages other than English, however it remains to be seen if it can accomplish the same accomplishment.

Within the first three days of its release on June 24, Money Heist: Korea was streamed for an astounding 33.7 million hours.

In addition, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand ranked the series first.

The first Money Heist series, which was directed by the Professor portrayed by lvaro Morte, was a huge success on a global scale.

The Professor leads a party of robbers who rob the Royal Mint and the Bank of Spain from a distance.

In the Korean adaptation, eight criminals headed by a mysterious mastermind seize control of the country’s mint while the action is set in a united Korea.

According to Netflix, the streaming service worked closely with the Korean version’s authors to ensure that the remake will feel true to Korea.

Kim Hong-sun is in charge of the series’ direction, and Yong-jae, Kim Hwan-chae, and Choe Sung-jun wrote the scripts.
