Season 2 of Mo has been renewed by Netflix, and it will be the final.

The single-camera comedy series, which premieres in August 2022, centres on series lead Mo Amer as a fictionalised version of himself.

Amer performs the role of Mo Najjar, a Palestinian refugee who is always just one step away from being granted asylum in the United States.

In eight episodes, viewers get to see how hilariously Najjar has adapted to his new surroundings while also getting a glimpse of the struggles he still has to deal with.

Najjar resides in Houston, Texas, with his family. Farah Bieso, Omar Elba, Teresa Ruiz, and Tobe Nwigwe also appear in Mo.

After its premiere, the show garnered positive reviews and made various lists of the top television programmes of 2022.

Netflix has reportedly decided to extend Mo for one more season, Variety reports.

In a statement, Amer, who co-created the series with Ramy Youssef, said he was grateful for the chance to present a global tale

It frequently happens that varied shows, like Mo, are hailed as essential simply because of the viewpoint it emphasises.

Mo garnered accolades for its consistently superb cast as well as the fact that it truly lives up to its description as a comedy.
