The violent, biker-themed FX drama Mayans M.C., which is set in the same fictitious world as Sons of Anarchy, has been renewed for a fifth season as revealed at San Diego Comic-Con

Mayans M.C. made a significant appearance at San Diego Comic-Con for a special screening and panel with all of its stars and creatives, fresh off of its Season 4 finale

It was assumed going into the season that the FX drama, which is still among the finest on the network, would be renewed for a fifth season to continue its story of motorcycle outlaws.

It was made known during the panel that the show would formally return for Season 5 in 2023. FX Entertainment’s Nick Grad, President of Original Programming, commented on the renewal,

The series is produced by Elgin James, centres on Ezekiel Reyes (JD Pardo), a member of the Mayans M.C. charter near the border of California and Mexico.
