Maisie Williams talked candidly about her role as Arya Stark in the wildly popular television series Game of Thrones

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Maisie Williams revealed that she experienced "a lot of discomfort" and felt disoriented for an extended period of time while playing in the fantasy thriller.

In the interview with The Sunday Times, Maisie said, “I was so lost for so long and I knew that I was, and when I couldn’t pin down what I felt my identity was within that, it brought me a lot of discomfort. Now I feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin. It’s hard to even put myself back there and talk about how tough it was just because I think it’s done.”

She continued by saying that she wished to give guidance to young performers who work in the same field as her and may encounter comparable strain from the spotlight.

"I really go deep inside to try to extract anything that I think would be quite helpful. I don't know whether I ever will, but I do know that they can at least give me a call or send me a text," she remarked.

For her role in the show, Maisie garnered recognition on a global scale and was nominated for an Emmy.

She was required to try out for the role when she was just 14 years old, and she portrayed Arya Stark for the full eight seasons.

House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones, debuted in 2022. 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen's birth, the show debuted.
