Leo Woodall of The White Lotus and This is Going to Hurt breakout star Ambika Mod star in the tragi-comic romantic film One Day on Netflix.
In the Netflix UK series, which is an adaptation of David Nicholls’ best-selling book and charts a series of intense emotional encounters between the two that start on their university graduation day on July 15, 1988 .
Every episode of One Day will follow Emma and Dexter as they develop and change, spend time together and apart, and encounter happiness and heartache on that one particular day.
In the BBC One medical drama This is Going to Hurt, which was based on Adam Kay’s experiences in the NHS, Mod received praise for her moving performance as trainee doctor Shruti Acharya opposite Ben Whishaw.
She recently wrapped up filming for a major part in the second season of the Sky comedy I Hate Suzie.
In the second season of the HBO series The White Lotus, Woodall, who recently joined the main cast, will portray a magnetic guest staying at the hotel.
He will reprise his role in the buzzy spy drama Citadel on Amazon, played the lead in Nomad, a feature film.
On July 4, filming for One Day is scheduled to start in London before moving on to Edinburgh.
Producer Drama Republic, along with Universal International Studios, Focus Features, and Doctor Foster are the creators of the show.
They are joined by writers Anna Jordan, Vinay Patel, and Bijan Sheibani. Molly Manners is the series’ director, and Nige Watson is its producer.
