The longest-reigning queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, passed died, and her son Prince Charles responded to her death in an official message shared on the royal family's Twitter account.

 The royal family, including Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Andrew, and others, travelled to Balmoral Castle on Thursday to visit the Queen, who was kept under close medical observation.

Following the official news of the Queen's passing, it was also announced that Prince Charles and his wife Camilla would assume the responsibilities of the throne as King and Queen Consort, respectively.
