Kim Kardashian claims her remark was misunderstood.

During an interview with a popular magazine, Kim Kardashian apologised for a controversial statement she made about women in business.

Kim Kardashian addressed her statements made while speaking to Variety on March 9th about her and her family's impending reality tv programme "The Kardashians" during a sit-down interview with the host of "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts.

Kardashian gave her advice to women who aspire to be successful in business when discussing the show, adding, "I have the best advice for women in business.

" Get off your f****ing arse and get to work. Nobody appears to want to work these days."

Soon after, her remark sparked outrage on social media, with ABC News presenter Robin Roberts telling her that many people were criticising Kardashian for her luxury and how it aided Skim's founder's success.

Kardashian, on the other hand, told Roberts that her comment was "taken out of context" and that she is "truly sorry" if it was misinterpreted as discounting women's hard work in the workplace.

"That comment that I made was without inquiries and conversation around it," Kardashian told Robert.

In that soundbite, I expanded on the idea expressed in the previous question, which was, 'After 20 years in the business, you're renowned for being famous.'
