By claiming to be unaware of James Gunn’s plans following Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Kevin Feige makes fun jokes regarding Gunn’s new position managing the DC Universe.

Since he oversaw the production of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie in 2014, Gunn has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In 2021, he started working with DC as well also started working with DC Suicide Squad.

Later, Gunn also served as the series Peacemaker’s director.

However, on October 25, when Gunn was named co-CEO and co-chairman of DC Studios with Peter Safran, it became clear that he would play a more significant position in the DC.

In an appearance at CCPX, Feige made light-hearted fun of Gunn’s new position

Feige appeared not to be aware of Gunn’s work when asked by a fan what his plans were following the conclusion of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.

He was joking because he has publicly endorsed Gunn’s involvement with the DC Universe.

Still, it makes sense that Feige pretended to be unhappy with Gunn’s new role given the alleged continuing MCU vs. DCU animosity.
