Kanye West allegedly spent $850,000 on new teeth, influenced by James Bond, titanium dentures
According to DailyMail Online, Kanye West has once again stunned his admirers by losing his natural teeth and replacing them with titanium dentures that look like the ones worn by Jaws, the notorious monster from two James Bond films.
In an Instagram post, the 46-year-old rapper, who is being sued for allegedly hitting a fan who asked for his autograph in 2022, flashed his new metallic smile and made a comparison to the legendary figure from Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me.
West's ostentatious dentures, which the publication said were "more expensive than diamonds" and were handcrafted by the rapper, are shown in an exclusive DailyMail image.
Rumor has it that the cost of the dentures, which are the result of a novel medical technique exclusive to West, is an astounding $850,000.
West's new dentures were fitted by Beverly Hills dentist Dr. Thomas Connelly and master dental technician Naoki Hayashi.
Connelly said to DailyMail, “It was a pleasure to work with every step of the process. His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression. The marriage of his vision with dental science has created a new look that is epic!”
The POWER rapper stated on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010 that he had all of his bottom row of teeth extracted and replaced with gold and diamond implants.
He told the host, "I just thought that diamonds were cooler," adding that he had asked the dentist to remove his bottom teeth and replace them with implants.
Kanye answered, “It’s really my real teeth. I replaced my bottom row of teeth.”“I guess there’s just certain things that rock stars are supposed to do.”
