Johnny Depp claims that he will never return to Pirates of The Caribbean

American actor, producer and musician Johnny Depp is currently facing a court trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard who claimed physical abuse against the actor.

. In midst of all the chaos going on in his life, the actor has recently revealed that he won’t be returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise even if he gets a call back from Disney.

Depp has earned widespread acclaim for his comic performance as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Walt Disney Pictures’ adventure movie Pirates of the Caribbean

During his court trial against his ex-wife, Depp claimed that Heard has already ruined her career by accusing him of physical assault. Depp acknowledged being dismissed from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise while being questioned by his lawyer.

. He was also asked about a Daily Mail piece claiming Depp was “out as Jack Sparrow” during cross-examination. He relied on, “I wasn’t aware of that, but it doesn’t surprise me. Two years had gone by of constant worldwide talk about me being this wife-beater.

So, I’m sure that Disney was trying to cut ties to be safe. The #MeToo movement was in full swing at that point,” Variety reported. Depp also confirmed that Disney will continue with the franchise and said, “They didn’t remove my character from the rides. They didn’t stop selling dolls of Captain Jack Sparrow. They didn’t stop selling anything. They just didn’t want there to be something trailing behind me that they’d find.”

According to Depp’s ongoing complaint, Heard’s op-ed in the Washington Post alluded to Depp without naming him by name, causing irreparable harm to his career.

He claims that the essay, not earlier charges from 2016, is to blame for his professional woes. He said, “I would be a real simpleton to not think that there was an effect on my career based on Ms. Heard’s words, whether they mentioned my name or not.”

He continued, “Once that happened, I lost then. No matter the outcome of this trial, I’ll carry that for the rest of my days… I’m suing her over defamation and the various falsities that she used to bring my life to an end.”
