Given that James Gunn and Peter Safran are nearing the end of their multi-year plan for the DC Extended Universe, the DCEU universe appears to be undergoing some changes.

For the DCEU, a number of options have been presented. The release of Wonder Woman 3 is one such route that is apparently not being followed.

The Hollywood Reporter was informed by a source that Patty Jenkins had submitted her treatment for Wonder Woman 3 and that Warner Bros., Gunn, and Safran had all received it.

Jenkins was informed by Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, the co-chairs and CEOs of Pictures, that the movie did not fit into the DCEU's multi-year work-in-progress schedule.

The CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, will be present when Gunn and Safran present their still-under-development concept.

A possible course of action would be to put an end to the Zack Snyder-directed DCEU film series, which also features Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Godot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher.

This possible course would result in the cancellation of Man of Steel 2, with Cavill making a comeback, and no longer featuring Momoa's Aquaman as the title character.

Momoa and Cavill will appear in Flash, which will be published on June 16. However, it is speculated that the characters might not appear in Flash after all.
