Jamie Dornan got saucy at the 16th Annual US-Ireland Alliance Oscar Wilde Awards.

The actor was being honoured on March 25th at The Ebell Club in Los Angeles for his work in Belfast (2021), an autobiographical film based on an Irish working-class family in the 60s.

He then chose to improvise, saying, “In the absence of a reel. I’m just going to act out my entire career. Only the things you know best”.

Belfast is nominated in this year’s 94th Academy Awards in seven categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Sound and Best Supporting Actress.

Jamie Dornan then took out a pair of handcuffs in a reference to his Fifty Shades of Grey movies. He joked while holding the handcuffs.

Dornan has a succesful acting career. Apart from his notable roles in Belfast and Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, he did movies and shows such as The Fall (2013-2016), Anthropid (2016), The Tourist (2022) and The Siege of Jadotville (2016).

The movie star noted that it took some “self-worth” to reach at this stage in his career and he is happy with his success, “My whole ethos in life is, ‘Back yourself’.

“It was always just come out, spend a lot of time here, take on a load of meetings. So the longest I ever did was probably four or five months or something, maybe even three or four months, to be honest, in the early days," Dornan narrated.
