Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s breakout roles in James Cameron’s Titanic were well known by everybody.

The movie from 1997 went on to become the most successful at the time.

Out of its 13 nominations for Academy Awards, it also won 11 of them, including Best Picture and Best Director.

However, it appears that at first, actor Leonardo DiCaprio did not believe in the film’s potential and thought its script was “boring.”

Leonardo DiCaprio was not willing to star in the epic catastrophe romance movie, according to filmmaker James Cameron

Cameron said, “He didn’t want to do a leading man. I had to really twist his arm to be in the movie.

Leonardo did not want to read the character or have an audition for the movie, James Cameron has previously stated.

James Cameron saw to it that the Wolf of Wall Street actor took the required reading exam because it was a requirement for the role.

On February 10, Titanic will be screened in theatres to mark its 25th anniversary.

With a $2.2 billion domestic box office haul, Titanic is currently the third highest-grossing film.
