Netflix is very interested in growing its selection of inspirational movies, and one of the upcoming films will be just that.  

I Used to Be Famous, a movie about music, will be released on Netflix in September 2022.  

I Used To Be Famous on Netflix centres on Vince, a desperatly aspiring former pop star.  

The original short film is available for purchase on ShortsTV, an Amazon Prime Channel that offers streaming content. 

Ed Skrein and musician Leo Long will play Vince and Stevie, respectively, in the Netflix series I Used to Be Famous.  

Skrein is well-known for his work on shows like Game of Thrones, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel, and others. 

Leo Long is a neurodiverse folk musician who has faced and overcame many obstacles in music and will now also be acting. 

Eoin Macken from La Brea, and Lorraine Ashbourne from Bridgerton all played supporting roles as Amber, Austin, and Cheryl, respectively. 

According to Televisual, filming for Netflix’s I Used to Be Famous began on October 28th, 2021 and ended on December 6th, 2022.  

We can confirm that I Used to Be Famous will be available to stream on Friday, September 16th, 2022, with the release of the trailer in August 2022.
