Since the release of the Game of Thrones prequel in August, House of the Dragon has been forging its own way.

Since securing our return to Westeros and all of its cunning individuals, we have all met characters that we despise, some that we don't entirely comprehend, like Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), and some that many people appear to adore.

Many viewers have grown to love Milly Alcock as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, often known as the Realm's Delight, as the series has gone on.

This weekend's premiere of the fifth episode will likely be the final time viewers will see Alcock portray Rhaenyra, the successor to the Iron Throne.

In order to mature up the characters of Rhaenyra and Lady Alicent Hightower, the actress will be replaced with Emma D'Arcy (Emily Carey).

In advance of her final episode on the show, Alcock posted a number of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram.

There is also a funny video of the two laughing together, a picture of Smith at San Diego Comic-Con celebrating the show's appearance on the room keys, and pictures from the set, including one of Smith riding the device that simulates the show's spectacular CGI dragons.

Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel), a courageous and highly talented character, is shown in a funny photo napping.

The actress will make her farewell appearance in the episode titled We Light The Way as we bid adieu to Alcock and her depiction of Rhaenyra.
