The Gentlemen, a 2019 movie directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Colin Farrell, and others, will be turned into a television series. What is currently known about the upcoming Netflix series is listed below.

According to Deadline, Ritchie will direct the first two episodes of the show and is producing it through his company Toff Guy Films. The first episode was co-written by the prolific director and Matthew Read (Curfew, Peaky Blinders)

Along with fellow producers Bill Block, Marn Davies, and Ivan Atkinson, Ritchie serves as the film’s executive producer. Will Gould and Matthew Read produce for Moonage, while Marc Helwig serves as executive producer for Miramax TV.

The American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who established a highly successful marijuana empire in London is the subject of the film Gentlemen.

. While that is the story of the film, it is unclear whether the series will stick to that plot or take a different route. The latter is most likely to happen.

There have been no cast members announced for Netflix’s adaptation of The Gentlemen. Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Jeremy Strong, Michelle Dockery, and Hugh Grant starred in the original film.

. All of these big names could return, but it’s more likely that a new cast will be assembled. It’s also possible that some of the original cast members will return, but not all of them.

The Gentlemen is currently in active development at Netflix, which means that the script is being written and revised, with pre-production to follow

According to reports, the series will begin filming in November 2022. It’s because the film is being shot in the United Kingdom, with London specifically mentioned in numerous production reports.
