An additional actor has joined the cast of the upcoming Paramount+ original series Fatal Attraction. According to Deadline, Wanda De Jesus  will play a significant recurring character. 

She will portray the district attorney Marcella Leyva, who is referred to as “an experienced lawyer and political animal.” 

The 1987 psychological thriller, which was directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Glenn Close as Alex Forrest, Michael Douglas as Dan Gallagher, and Anne Archer as Beth Gallagher, will be reimagined in the new series.  

The main character of the novel is a married lawyer (DOUGLAS), who has an affair with a lady (Close) who won’t admit their relationship is finished. Then she begins to follow him and his family. 

The showrunner and writer of the project will be Alexandra Cunningham. Among Cunningham’s accomplishments are Chance and Dirty John.  

Along with Kevin J. Hynes (Perry Mason), Darryle Frank, and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television, she will also serve as the series’ executive producer. 

Fatal Attraction is one of the newest original series for Paramount+. Other shows on the network’s schedule include The Offer, Evil, Star Trek: Discovery, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.  

Fatal Attraction’s release date hasn’t been made public yet. De Jesus joins a cast that also includes Lizzy Caplan (Castle Rock, Masters of Sex), Joshua Jackson (Dr. Death), and Amanda Peet. De Jesus’ television credits.

Other previously revealed cast members include Reno Wilson (Good Girls), who plays Detective Earl Booker, Alyssa Jirrels.
