The good news is that a second season of Vikings: Valhalla has already been acquired by Netflix.
The fact that Netflix actually picked up the show for a second and third season is even better news.
This indicates that this new show will definitely air for at least three seasons!
The fact that there is no obvious danger of the show's cancelation is fantastic news for the show's viewers.
The popular tv show Vikings announced that it would stop after its sixth season on January 4th, 2019.
However, they also disclosed that Michael Hirst was collaborating with MGM Television on a spinoff series.
It was made known that Hirst was collaborating with writer Jeb Stuart on this project for Netflix.
The Vikings series ended up on Amazon Prime, but for reasons I will never understand, Vikings: Valhalla ended up on Netflix.
The series was ultimately produced by MGM Television and was largely shot in Ireland at the same Ashford Studios in County Wicklow as the original Vikings series.
The adventures of Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Hardrada, and the Norman king William the Conqueror are the series' main subject matter.
Regarding a release date, it appears that Vikings: Valhalla will be available on Netflix this year.
The series has yet to be given an official release date.
However, we do know that the second season's filming was completed in November 2021.
This indicates that the show is currently in post-production, and from what I've heard, they are even starting to film the third season.
