The next significant Millarworld adaptation to be released on Netflix, after Jupiter’s Legacy and Super Crooks, is American Jesus.
It was initially announced as part of the initial 2018 slate of series and films and would be available on Netflix under the title The Chosen One (or El Elegido in Spanish).
The Chosen comic book series was among the first products from Millarworld, and it was initially published in 2004.
Mark Millar wrote the comic, while Peter Gross did the illustrations.
Later, the comics were reissued as American Jesus, with a total of 3 issues.
The initial lineup of Millarworld television programmes and motion pictures was unveiled a year after the acquisition
“Series in Spanish and English” American Jesus follows a twelve-year-old kid who realises he has reincarnated as Jesus Christ.
It’s worth noting that Netflix already has a show called The Chosen One. We’re talking about the two-season Brazilian TV thriller.
Leopoldo Gout and Everardo Gout were first introduced as co-showrunners at the start.
