Euphoria Season 3 might not start shooting until the following year

Even while Euphoria is unquestionably popular, Season 3 has been delayed significantly. Variety claims that because of creative differences with showrunner Sam Levinson, filming may not begin until as late as 2025.

The controversial teen drama was first postponed because of the simultaneous Hollywood strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA. However, since filming has resumed, Levinson has encountered resistance from the network on the direction of Season 3.

According to the author of Euphoria, there will be a time jump in the upcoming season to allow the characters to graduate from high school. Though additional information were kept under wraps, Levinson revealed that concepts centered around edging into a film noir vibe set in a corrupt environment.

Since then, Max has said that although the network has encouraged its performers to pursue other projects in the interim, they are still invested in Season 3 of the show.

Many have concluded that the show is dead in the water because of this fact, which doesn't speak good for the series.

According to a recent report from Variety, that isn't the case, but the show hasn't been able to proceed quickly due to some serious creative issues. Max wasn't too thrilled with the show's direction after Levinson presented scripts that starred Zendaya as Rue, a private detective.

According to insiders, Levinson is pushing forward with fresh concepts and screenplays for the upcoming season. Quality is what will determine Euphoria's future.

For the project to go forward, Levinson will need to submit scripts that both the performers and the network approve of. Compared to his last show, The Idol, which was swiftly canceled by Max due to its contentious nature, this strategy is different.

The actors' developing star status on the show is another issue. After Season 2 ended, Zendaya has become a huge star on the big screen.
