Emily Swallow, who played Emily in The Last of Us Part II game, wants a bigger role in season 2 of the HBO adaptation

The Last of Us is a critically acclaimed PlayStation game that was adapted into a popular HBO series

Season 2 of the show will cover a portion of The Last of Us Part II, and a third season is expected to follow

During a Slash Film interview, Swallow expressed her interest in playing a different character in the series

The show's creators have previously cast game actors in different roles, such as Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson

Jeffrey Pierce also appeared in season 1, playing a different character than his game role

Merle Dandridge is one of the few actors who reprised her game role in the live-action show

It is unclear whether Swallow will be included in season 2, but the show has a track record of incorporating game actors in new roles

There are still unknowns about how the show will tackle the second game

The Last of Us season 2 is set to start filming later this year, but official announcements regarding the cast are expected to come at a later time
