The Sisterhood is an upcoming HBO Max series that has been in development for several years. 

According to Deadline, the spinoff prequel series is anticipated to start filming in Budapest, Hungary, next month.  

Hungary, next month. The next film in the franchise, Dune: Part Two, will also be under production at the same time as the series. 

The news was released shortly after it was revealed that Indira Varma, who most recently portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi, will be appearing in the series as Empress Natalya. 

Along with Varma, Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson will also appear in the series as Valya and Tula Harkonnen, respectively. 

The show’s originator, Diane Ademu-John, also works as a co-showrunner and writer.  

Along with co-showrunner Alison Schapker, Ademu-John is the project’s executive producer.  

The series will be directed by Johan Renck, who has previously worked on shows like Chernobyl and Breaking Bad. 

Although the planned series’ specifics are still unknown, it will be based on Brian Herbert and Kevin J.  

Dune: The Sisterhood is shaping up to be an interesting series for fans of with a captivating premise supported by a group of excellent actors.
