Baymax has returned to save the world. In the Big Hero 6 spinoff series Baymax!, Scott Adsit reprises his role as the huggable healthcare companion, which premieres on Disney+ on June 29.
Baymax! is the first-ever animated series from Walt Disney Animation Studios, and is a sequel to Big Hero 6 the movie, Disney’s 2014 adaptation of the Marvel comic book.
The June 29 premiere date was revealed on the series’ new Disney+ landing page.
A new trailer for the upcoming animated series Baymax! was recently released by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Baymax!, a spin-off of the popular 2014 animated film Big Hero 6, will premiere on Disney+ on June 29.
The trailer was released on Disney Animation’s Twitter account with the phrase, “Everyone needs a big hero.”
The trailer begins with Hiro Hamada discovering Baymax is missing and shows the beloved companion robot doing his best to assist the people of San Fransokyo.
Along with the new trailer, Disney also unveiled key art for the series, which features Baymax holding a lollipop against a backdrop of San Francisco.
Series creator Don Hall said, “I thought it would be fun to do a Disney+ series with Baymax interacting with normal folks.
In each of our six episodes, Baymax just wants to help someone—and a lot of times they don’t want to be helped.
Baymax was created by Roy Conli and Bradford Simonsen. The directors are Dean Wellins, Lissa Treiman, Dan Abraham, and Mark Kennedy.
