Amy Schumer revealed that she received death threats following her joke on actress Kirsten Dunst in the Oscars.

 Amy Schumer cohosted this year’s Academy Award  

She joked that Kirsten Dunst, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress award, was a seat filler next to her husband Jesse Plemons .

On The Howard Stern Show, Schumer told "I got death threats"

"They were so bad that the Secret Service reached out to me about that bit. I’m like, ‘I think you have the wrong number. " She Added.

"This is Amy, not Will. The misogyny is unbelievable.” 

In addition, people taunted her, saying, "They were like, ‘Who do you think you are to disrespect Kirsten Dunst like that’?". 

Amy said she “did reach out to people that I was going to joke about before, and make sure it was okay with them” 

Talking on Instagram about the incident she wrote “Hey I appreciate the love for Kirsten Dunst. I love her too! That was a choreographed bit she was in on. Wouldn’t disrespect that queen like that.”
