With her next Sony-Marvel feature Madame Web, the actress will join the Marvel Universe, bringing to life the iconic woman who teaches Peter Parker's Spiderman in the books.

 The actress from The Social Network spoke with ET about her exciting new journey with the character.

When questioned about the highly anticipated film, Johnson said, "I can tell you pretty much nothing that isn't already on the internet."

Despite the fact that the actress, who is new to the mix, is bound by the same code of secrecy as the rest of the Marvel cast, she did acknowledge, "It's quite wonderful to be in the Marvel world, especially with a character that's not so well-known."

"There's a lot of room for us to make her extremely cool," she continued, "and I'm so excited."

"It's always been a dream of mine to do some kind of enormous action movie," Johnson said, adding, "It's always been a dream of mine to do some kind of massive action movie." "I've always wanted to do a female Indiana Jones," she concluded.

Those movies have a certain quality to them that makes you think, "Wow, a real human being can achieve that!"

For those unfamiliar with the comics, Madam Web is an elderly woman who guides Peter Parker through his unusual journey through the spiderweb.

She's kept alive by a life support system that looks like a spider web. For the time being, it's unclear how the MCU would depict its spinster Webber, though fans are excited following Dakota's addition to the project.
