The Jeffrey Dahmer Story fell to second place on Friday after spending over a month at the top of Netflix’s daily leaderboard of the most watched TV shows.

The Watcher, another true-crime limited series, took its place.

Ryan Murphy, who inked a large five-year deal with Netflix in 2018, produces and writes both shows.

Dahmer has been seen more than 701.37 million times since its debut on September 21.

Within the first week of its debut, it set numerous viewing records, and it currently ranks as the 13th most-streamed series on Netflix overall.

After the fourth season of Stranger Things, it is the second-most watched English-language Netflix series of all time.

The shocking true story of serial killer and sex offender Jeffrey Dahmer, often known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal,” who killed and mutilated 17 men between 1978 and 1991.

Dahmer has a 57% rating on RottenTomatoes despite receiving conflicting reviews from critics despite its enormous popularity.

Due to the heavily dramatised portrayal of the murderer’s atrocities, many viewers also attacked the programme for taking advantage of Dahmer’s victims and their families.

The Watcher, who takes over for Dahmer, has a very different storyline.
