After taking a midseason vacation, Criminal Minds: Evolution is back on Paramount+, and we now have official word that a second season is in the works.

From 2005 to 2020, CBS broadcast Criminal Minds, one of the network’s most well-liked original series

The programme was revived as a Paramount+ streaming exclusive.

Many of the main figures from the original series returned in the spinoff, now known as Criminal Minds .

Season 2 of Criminal Minds: Evolution has reportedly been renewed by Paramount+, according to Deadline.

Tanya Giles, the chief programming officer of Paramount Streaming, reacted on the renewal, calling the show’s comeback a success and promising more sinister turns in the future.

While Criminal Minds: Evolution was able to reunite the majority of the original series cast for the Paramount+ season 1 premiere, a few fan favourites were unable to make the transition.

One of the most noticeable absences on the show has been that of Dr. Spencer Reid , although Reid’s return to Criminal Minds is still a possibility.

When the show resumes, the BAU comes back together to tackle a fresh case involving the pursuit of Elias Voit and his criminal organisation.

Due to a schedule issue with his appearance in the now-cancelled comedy series Dollface on Hulu, Gubler was unable to return.
