While specifics of Slater's position in the series are being kept under wraps, Davis, who shared a panel with Slater at D23, noted that the actor gave a dynamic and energising performance, which is fitting for someone entering a work of such magic and wonder.

Arrow

The cheeky, boisterous character of Val Kilmer's Madmartigan, a sarcastic but skilled warrior who transforms from a hardened, imprisoned criminal to a true hero and even wins the girl in the end, may be remembered by longtime viewers of the original movie.

Slater's presence in the series may have a comparable energy to Kilmer's even though Kilmer isn't returning his part for the series.

Willow premieres on Disney+ on November 30.
