The comedian Chris Rock is currently embroiled in another scandal, but this time he is the target.

Chris Rock connected the event of Will Smith slapping him to the horrific death of Nicole Brown Smith during his stand-up performance on Sunday in Phoenix.

He said his final farewell to Jack in a tearful scene before getting on the coach.

The 57-year-old comic received harsh criticism from online users for his remarks, which infuriated them.

Chris Rock informed his audience that the Academy had extended an invitation to him to host the 2023 Oscars, but he had turned it down.

However, Chris' comment that going back to the Oscars would be like asking Nicole Brown Simpson to go back to the restaurant to get her glasses before she was brutally murdered set off the debate.

For those who don't know, two years after divorcing O.J. Simpson, Nicole Brown Simpson was slain.

In her Los Angeles home, the former professional American football player allegedly fatally killed his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman.

The murder trial ended up being the most well-known case of the 20th century, and it ultimately resulted in O.J. Simpson's conviction.

As soon as Chris's remarks on social media became viral, many criticised him for equating the two tragedies.

. Some users even went as far as to claim that he deserved Will Smith's notorious slap.

. During the Oscars 2022 presentation, Will Smith struck Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, being bald. Jada had alopecia, and Chris made fun of the fact that she was turning into G.I. Jane.
