Chris Evans Responds Honestly to the Possibility of a Captain America Return
Chris Evans responds to rumours that he may reprise his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Evans had an exceptionally successful stint as Captain America in less than a decade after joining the MCU in 2011.
He aided in the development of Steve Rogers as one of the franchise's most popular characters, although his journey was properly concluded in Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
Captain America returned the Infinity Stones and had a complete life in another reality with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) before returning to the present day and passing the mantle to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie).
Despite the return of the old Steve Rogers at the end of Avengers: Endgame and Sam Wilson's transformation into Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, there have been whispers that Evans' time in the MCU is not quite done.
This dates back to 2018, when the Russo Brothers stated that they aren't through with the MCU and that spectators would soon find out why.
In early 2021, rumours appeared that Evans was in talks to reprise his role as Captain America in a future MCU film, but not Captain America 4.
Since then, fans have been wondering whether and when Evans will return to the MCU.
Evans spoke to Comicbook about the Pixar film Lightyear as part of his promotional tour.
