Carla Gugino has been cast in a series regular role in the new HBO Max series “The Girls on the Bus,” as reported by Variety.

Gugino is the newest member of the cast, joining actors like Melissa Benoist, Natasha Behnam, Christina Elmore, and Brandon Scott who were previously revealed.

Along with Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti, Rina Mimoun, the series’ creator, also serves as executive producer.

The show revolves around Sadie McCarthy (Benoist), a journalist who abandons everything in her life in an effort to cover the forthcoming presidential campaign, according to the synopsis, despite the fact that very little information about the series has been made public.

She makes friends with three rivals, Lola, Kimberlyn, and Grace, as they receive a close-up view of the fight for the White House in her effort to cover this.

Grace Gordon Greene, a seasoned reporter who becomes Sadie’s companion and mentor in the series, will be played by Gugino.

Lola and Kimberlyn will be portrayed by Behnam and Elmore, respectively. The Girls on the Bus may be a fascinating series for viewers to watch when it premieres because of the intriguing notion at its core.

Gugino will also appear in Leopard Skin, an AGC Television crime thriller television series, and Lisa Frankenstein, an upcoming horror comedy movie that will mark Zelda Williams’ directing debut.
