BTS celebrated the end of 2022, especially member J-Hope, who was in New York and put on yet another incredible performance.

With a solo performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve where he did a live stage of three songs, solo track “= (Equal Sign),” his collaborative track with Becky G, “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and BTS’s “Butter,” he seems to have enjoyed his time away from the other members to the fullest.

He joined PSY as the only other South Korean soloists to play at the event.

J-Hope attended Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve three times total, having previously performed in group performances with BTS in 2017 and 2019.

BTS members Jungkook, Jimin, and V took to the fan community site Weverse as soon as New Year’s Eve transitioned into the early hours of the morning and the South Korean New Year began, to share their wishes with the fans and to talk about their goals for the upcoming year.

While Jimin sent a lengthy message to his fans about his desires to release new music soon for which he has been meeting with composers, Jungkook and V kept it brief, praying for a fruitful and pleasant year ahead.

J-Hope recalled how he was called by the member with a different phone number and nearly missed it when he was asked about BTS’ oldest member Jin, who became the first member of the group to enrol in the military on December 13.

J-Hope shared, “Right before I was about to sleep on the 31st, I got a call from Jin and asked him how he was doing to which he said J-Hope, pick up your phone. I told him I did not know this number, how would I know it was his?”

J-Hope expressed his happiness at hearing Jin’s voice while wearing a smile on his face.

J-Hope remarked how it made him feel better and reminded him of all the good times he had with Jin. He gave the supporters comfort by adding that Jin appeared to be in good health and was succeeding in the military.
