Bridgerton star Simone Ashley whispers to fans about the possibility of seeing Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma's season three plot

Simone Ashley, star of Bridgerton, teases that viewers will not be let down by the impending storyline involving Kate and Anthony.

The Regency-era historical drama on Netflix is based on Julia Quinn's series of romantic books of the same name, each of which centers on a different Bridgerton family sister.

The upcoming season 3 will follow Colin Bridgerton's (Luke Newton) romance with longtime friend Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), while season 1 followed Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) romance with the rakish Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page).

Season 2 featured Anthony Bridgerton's (Jonathan Bailey) love triangle, where he ended up with Kate Sharma (Ashley) over her sister.

At Sundance, Screen Rant had the chance to speak with Simone Ashley about the future of her character in Bridgerton season three.

Sharma responded, "I think they'll be really happy," when asked if viewers would be satisfied with Kate and Anthony's domestic happiness or would they be rioting in the streets throughout the season.

"Johnny and I had so much fun exploring Kate and Anthony post-season 2," she continued, although she did concede that they are not the main subject of the season.

"No, I think they will be. Gosh that is an intense quote, that is. No, I think they’ll be really happy. I think both Johnny and I had so much fun exploring Kate and Anthony post season 2. "

"And we had a lot of fun enjoying the blissful domestic life, as you just really beautifully put it. It’s Luke Newton’s and Nicola Coughlan’s season and, if anything, I’m just really proud of them and the episodes; for the world to see them tell the story. "
