Shazam! producer reportedly approached Black Adam actor Dwayne Johnson about a cameo. 

Fury of the Gods, but allegedly declined the chance. While the DC Universe will have more to offer in 2023.

The most recent instalment, Black Adam, which centred on the renowned antihero, was released this fall. 

Black Adam eventually brought the infamous Shazam antagonist to life, as well as the Justice Society of America, after having been linked to the job for a number of years. 

Henry Cavill’s Superman made a triumphant return in the DCU film, appearing in a moment intended to introduce the character’s upcoming sequel. 

The mega-star had been offered a cameo in Shazam!, according to a Tweet from Umberto Gonzalez of The Wrap.  

The Gods’ fury. When asked if he wanted to participate as his DCU persona, Johnson allegedly declined the chance. 

Warner Bros. Discovery, Johnson, the creative team, and DC Studios have not yet responded to the Shazam! The Fury of the Gods tale. 

Despite the exploration of the Shazam mythology in Black Adam, Zachary Levi’s franchise was never even hinted to in the Johnson-led film. 

Johnson still has a potential to play Black Adam again, but perhaps in other movies rather than in a standalone DCU series.
