Billie Eilish received praise for throwing shade  at TikTokers during the People's Choice Awards

The 46th People's Choice Awards illuminated the stage at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, last Sunday, February 18.

Even though Billie Eilish won TV Performance of the Year, it was a private interaction that started a trend on social media between the 22-year-old singer and Kylie Minogue.

The pair can be seen seated at a table during an intermission at the awards ceremony in a video that has gone viral.

The Australian singer is seen making a face in the footage as the Bad Guy hitmaker leans in to talk to her.

She then puts her hand over her mouth halfway and uses her thumb to point behind her.

“I’m, like, there’s some, like, TikTokers here over there,” one claimed the Oscar-winning star uttered to Kylie. “Which is just… I don’t need it.”

Many on social media believe that the young artist was venting her displeasure at TikTokers attending the star-studded event.

According to TMZ, Tana Mongeau, Chris Olsen, Alix Earle, and James Charles were among the TikTokers who received invitations to the event.

Over 65 million people follow these social media celebrities together on the well-known video-sharing website.
