The runtime of Avatar: The Way of Water has supposedly been released, mostly correlating with earlier estimates James Cameron’s sequel’s post-production information has lately started to come to light.
The Avatar: The Way of Water runtime now appears to have been revealed, at least based on recent listings from Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres.
According to reports, the much anticipated sequel will be 192 minutes, which is 50 minutes longer than the original Avatar movie.
Given that the information is same across the two websites, the sequel’s length appears to be confirmed, making it one of the year’s longest films.
After initial reports indicated that Avatar: The Way of Water was three hours and ten minutes long, there has been much discussion on its length.
Although it was later made clear that the final cut had not yet been completed, viewers immediately started displaying a range of emotions, with some expressing worry over its possible length.
Many have worried about how the sequel would do at the box office because of these worries and the 13-year gap between films.
The Way of Water, pointing out that while viewers will grumble about spending a similar amount of time watching television, they will happily watch it for hours on end.
The first Avatar movie was lengthy, but it still managed to become the highest-grossing movie of all time.
Avatar: The Way of Water’s director said earlier this month that he wanted to concentrate on the story and characters.
