During the 74th annual Emmy Trophies on Monday Night, the Television Academy distributed 24 awards to over a dozen different shows.
Five prizes were given out during the Primetime ceremony, including Outstanding Limited Series, to HBO's "The White Lotus."
AppleTV+'s "Ted Lasso," which won four awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, came in second place.
In addition, shows like "Squid Game" on Netflix and "Abbott Elementary" on ABC received praise from Emmy voters.
The closest contenders were Disney and Apple, each with four victories, and HBO, with 11 Primetime Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series for "Succession." Netflix received three.
Kenan Thompson, a cast member of "Saturday Night Live," presided over the event on NBC and streaming site Peacock from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Although the ceremony usually airs on Sunday, because NBC also has the right to broadcast National Football League games on Sunday nights, it chose to present the award recipients on Monday.
The writer-director Mike White's film "The White Lotus" earned a number of prizes.
Other winners included Jennifer Coolidge for "The White Lotus," Jean Smart for "Hacks," Michael Keaton for "Dopesick," and Julia Garner for "Ozark."
Amanda Seyfried won for her portrayal of disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in “The Dropout.”
