The MacBook Air 2022 is likely to be released this year, and speculation is rife.  Will it include a crazy new notch-based display or a strong M2 processor?  We have no idea.

However, a fresh claim from wccftech displays a new render of the rumoured 2022 MacBook Air, which features a strange fusion of the new Pro versions as well as some inspiration from the current model.

Please keep in mind that this is only a render and not an official design reveal, so take it with a grain of salt.

The next MacBook Air is depicted here having a wedge-shaped appearance rather than the existing model's tapered style.

This should put the next MacBook Air in the same design category as the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro versions.

Another outstanding feature is the top-notch display, which is similar to the Pro models.  In addition, the new model will be lighter and slimmer than the current model.

Apple laptop owners hoped that a new MacBook Air (2022) would be announced at the March 8 Apple "Peek Performance" event.  They were disappointed.  Again.

Even if Apple makes no changes, the MacBook Air 2022 will most likely preserve its silent, fanless design and great battery life, which is already the longest in an Apple laptop.

With the 2022 model, we expect considerable upgrades, particularly in the design of the Air.  There are rumours of a total overhaul, with a variety of colours to choose from, similar to the old Mac-inspired colours available for the 2021 iMac and 4th generation iPad Air.
