No, we're not talking about CODA, but rather Cha Cha Real Smooth, a cheerful, crowd-pleasing film that won big at the Sundance Film Festival.

Andrew (Cooper Raiff), a directionless 22-year-old young man, is stranded with his family in New Jersey after graduating from college.

He may not have a resume, but he certainly knows how to throw a party, which leads to a wonderful position as a Bar Mitzvah party host.

He begins a relationship with Domino (Dakota Johnson), a young mother with a teenage autistic daughter named Lola (Vanessa Burghardt), and discovers a future he desires.

On June 17, Cha Cha Real Smooth will be available on Apple TV Plus and in select cinemas.

This is comparable to the distribution strategy used by CODA in the run-up to and after its Best Picture win, but it's been an unusual occurrence for Apple TV Plus' library of original movies thus far.

Cha Cha Real Smooth will also be screened at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival(opens in new tab), which will take place from June 8 to 19, coinciding with the film's release on Apple TV Plus.

We know Cha Cha Real Smooth was a hit with the crowd at Sundance 2022, based on the awards it received, but what did the critics think? They enjoyed it as well.
