Netflix has scooped up the distribution rights to the upcoming Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson film The Man From Toronto, marking another another huge Sony acquisition.

The film had a $75 million budget, according to reports.

In April 2022, Netflix purchased the rights to it from Sony. In recent years, Netflix has bought a number of Sony films, mostly in the animation genre.

Netflix, for example, purchased three animated films in 2021, with The Mitchells Vs. The Machines and Vivo being the two most popular.

Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3, The Hitman's Bodyguard) directed The Man From Toronto, which is based on a script by Robbie Fox and Chris Bremner.

Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch produced the film, which was executive produced by Bill Bannerman, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth.

Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson play the primary characters in The Man From Toronto. Teddy, the screw-up, will be played by Hart, while Harrelson will portray the lethal assassin.

The Man from Toronto also stars Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), Jasmine Mathews (The Tomorrow War), Ellen Barkin (Animal Kingdom), Lela Loren (Altered Carbon)
