Some of the most popular shows that had been removed over the previous few months have recently received new licences and renewals on Netflix in the United States.

Reign, The Originals, and Criminal Minds are all back on the service. As you may be aware, Netflix obtains a lot of its movies and television shows through licences from companies like Paramount and Warner Bros

The removal of The Originals from The CW came as a surprise because it didn’t fall within the typical “lifetime plus 5 years” window. However, as of August 18th, every episode of the five-season series has returned to Netflix in the US after leaving on July 1st.

Reign seasons 1-3 were taken off Netflix in June 2022, but season 4 surprisingly made it through the initial purge. In September 2022, the fourth and final season was scheduled to end.

All three of the first seasons were once again available on Netflix as of August 18; however, unlike the other two series mentioned above, a removal notice for September 2022 is currently visible.
